Pros
Friendly work environment, predictable work load and reasonable performance goals.
Cons
What was once an almost 80's-90's Japanese employment ethos (as long as you don't steal or blow up the place, you will always have employment), as of 2010, now is pretty much 'serve at suffrage'. If you don't rapidly make it into the inner clique, the reasons offered for being let go border on the capricious.
