Pros
- FTE engineers were great; ICs are easy to work with and are talented - Fairly flexible working hours - Obviously, a cool industry to be a part of - If you're early in your tech career, could be a good place to build experience - Work-life balance was decent
Cons
- Massive technical debt that gets swept under the rug - Not a diverse environment - Everything is driven by quarterly OKRs, which has shifted the culture towards a "fend for yourself" mindset - Don't expect to work on interesting projects. You will be told to do as you're asked. If it's not a quarterly goal, it just ain't happening - All great engineering talent has gotten fed up with management priorities and has either left or is on the verge of leaving - Promotions aren't usually based on merit and experience - They don't care about your personal growth or career - CTO is clueless, as other reviews have stated. He rudely interjects during presentations and craps on the hard work of the team. Definitely toxic, as we've seen folks leave because of this - Bro culture amongst certain parts of management - No accountability or mutual passion to deliver great services to customers - People team constantly rotating out; clearly, they're seeing problems and running away fast - Despite many rounds of funding, never once offered bonuses to those who hustled to get the company where it is today - Equity is laughable. Management and Finance refuse to reveal any details about percentages so you can't tell how little you're getting
