Pros

PTA is very supportive, staff works well together and fills in where needed especially with a sub shortage, grade level planning is important for a good student experience

Cons

Large volume of meetings causing less time to plan with grade level, Sub Shortage, teacher morale is down, behavior issues in classrooms to where it impacts instruction and learning for students, behavior issues are a safety concern at times (e.g. students verbally or physically trying to harm teachers or classmates), discipline for those that violate the school rules are not carried through anymore (e.g. detention, suspension, ISS), since there are more high needs students in general education classrooms they do not have the proper additional IA/SpED support needed, being micromanaged by Administration rather then trusting what you hired, teachers are walking away from the field due to lack of pay (inflation, cost of living), being disrespected, feeling devalued, and unappreciated
