Pros

Decent perks, food, parties, nice office

Cons

The recent positive reviews are written by managers to boost up their scores here. Isn’t it odd that several positive reviews showed up all of sudden within few days? As more truth about this company is published here, the company are having harder time getting new hires. And the smart ones read the reviews and not take this job. I agree that every company has its share of people who are happy and unhappy with thier work place. But majority here are extremely unhappy. And the reviewer who said Legalzoom is a “competitive” place - it’s called “backstabbing” and not “competitive”. Everyone is threatened to be fired & are expendable unless you hit 120% of your quota so everyone’s just trying to survive until they find a new job. That’s how they run this place and makes for a bad place to work. And that reviewer who said the company is in growing pain...if a company is still experiencing growing pains after 10+ years and 3+ years in Austin, it doesn’t sound like the company knows what it’s doing and has questionable leadership. This reaffirms a lot of things that people have been talking about - bad training, micromanaging, leadership, etc...

Pros

Work life balance is actually great. The people you work with are smart and generally fun to work with

Cons

Roadmap is very disorganized, you kind of have to assume you will work on any random project each day

Pros

Allows remote for the time being

Cons

AI everywhere. It seems like a return to office mandate is right around the corner (no longer allowing new remote employees). Code quality doesn't seem important anymore, only how much you can get done with AI.
