Pros

Great work life balance, mostly agile development. Upper management really does listen and adjust base off of feedback.

Cons

They do not pay base off of merit but on years of experience in the field. Many young developers who are highly skilled leave as a result. Other companies will pay for merit (accomplishments/value/knowledge) - over years.

Pros

Flexible schedule, great benefits, open to feedback

Cons

Corporate does not treat all sectors equal equally, IT support projects are slow, projects are abandoned after a lot of effort has put into them

Pros

There were some really wonderful people whom I supported in Prop Ops and Corporate. They were very appreciative of our work and work ethic. The proposals were always interesting and I thought well run overall until recently. My direct manager was very flexible with work hours, remote work, etc. so I had no problem with weekend work or work that required a very fast turn. He let us do our jobs and supported us when necessary. Not too sure about the new manager as she just came onboard. Things are changing there.

Cons

The culture has changed over the 25+ years I had been there-less team oriented, less support for work, and definitely less recognition from upper management who had no clue what we all really did. There is a real disconnect. Hardly any monetary compensation for winning work from them...that kind of thing came from my direct manager who was forced into early retirement as were a number of people whom were very good at their jobs. The recent layoff was very random and had nothing to do with performance. I believe they used some kind of matrix that had to do with salary and age-for my laid off group it looked obvious but of course that is hard to prove...
