Pros
I always felt that if something happened to my contract, Leidos would be willing and able to find another contract I could work, as long as they thought I would work hard. The company was big enough that there would always be another contract I could work on and the network at Leidos would facilitate an easy transition.
Cons
Once SAIC had its IPO and was no longer an employee owned company, the company started going to pot. Decisions are not made with respect to retention of employees, but to get the shareholders a return. The company used to have a special feel, but now that's gone. It's just another large company now, with nothing to set it apart.
