Pros

Leidos presents a great opportunity for recent college graduates. There are many programs setup to help you continue your education, both in-house, and through 100% tuition reimbursement. Great insurance and investment options as well!

Cons

One of the major downsides of Leidos is the instability that comes with contract work. It is also required that accrued PTO be used as sick leave, leaving those just starting out little work life balance.

Pros

Now, they're Leidos has taken over QTC, I appreciate the management styles and expectation. So I am much happier now

Cons

I do not like how diagnostic exams, including blood pressures, take up an hour slot which does Involve me at all. This leads to huge gaps in my schedule and as a contractor, sitting idle without making money is not really beneficial for me.

Pros

There were some really wonderful people whom I supported in Prop Ops and Corporate. They were very appreciative of our work and work ethic. The proposals were always interesting and I thought well run overall until recently. My direct manager was very flexible with work hours, remote work, etc. so I had no problem with weekend work or work that required a very fast turn. He let us do our jobs and supported us when necessary. Not too sure about the new manager as she just came onboard. Things are changing there.

Cons

The culture has changed over the 25+ years I had been there-less team oriented, less support for work, and definitely less recognition from upper management who had no clue what we all really did. There is a real disconnect. Hardly any monetary compensation for winning work from them...that kind of thing came from my direct manager who was forced into early retirement as were a number of people whom were very good at their jobs. The recent layoff was very random and had nothing to do with performance. I believe they used some kind of matrix that had to do with salary and age-for my laid off group it looked obvious but of course that is hard to prove...
