Pros

I initially came to LendingTree because of the opportunity, compensation, and level of excitement. That was several years back. If I were standing at the reception desk waiting on my interview, I would run out the door. The culture of fun, hard work, great rewards, and motivated staff has turned into a culture of fear, unbalanced work (some have too much others are bored), no rewards (no raises in 2 years and bonus / stock is a mystery). Only a select few and many of those resigned enjoyed any financial rewards in the last year. The magic that is left ,resides in a few employees and it is great to work with them.

Cons

Attrition. Mortgage meltdown 2007-200x. Executive replacement excessive with 2 CEOs ,3 Presidents , n SVP resigned in < 14 months. No vision on where we are going next.

Pros

LendingTree has a strong culture that is incredibly welcoming, since the start I have felt right at home. The company places an emphasis on autonomy, giving you the chance to explore ways to make a difference. You are encouraged to work however works best for you, with flexible hours and unlimited PTO, work-life balance is great.

Cons

The business itself is very complex and constantly evolving, and while that does keep things interesting you can feel lost. The segments of the business are all very unique making collaboration imperative, so at times competing priorities can cause delays and hold progress.
