Pros

The people were spectacular. Though the ages ranged from mid 20s to mid 60s, and not a single person showed up without wanting to work hard and make a change for the better. Everyone wanted to learn from one another, and everyone wanted to teach everyone else, so it was a very prosperous environment. The amenities, activities, volunteer opportunities, and other aspects of the company made it a comprehensively enjoyable experience to work for LendingTree!

Cons

From this passion, people often worked 60+ hour weeks without fail or hesitation just to get the most done for the company. For me personally, my manager was in the office a rigid 50 hours per week, with other interactions while out of office (emails, slack, etc) and I was asked to attend meetings spanning a range of 12 hours (not in a single day), which allowed for flexibility, but hard to develop consistency.

Pros

LendingTree has a strong culture that is incredibly welcoming, since the start I have felt right at home. The company places an emphasis on autonomy, giving you the chance to explore ways to make a difference. You are encouraged to work however works best for you, with flexible hours and unlimited PTO, work-life balance is great.

Cons

The business itself is very complex and constantly evolving, and while that does keep things interesting you can feel lost. The segments of the business are all very unique making collaboration imperative, so at times competing priorities can cause delays and hold progress.
