Pros

Because a lot of team work and brainstorming is involved in each campaign, Leo Burnett fosters and environment that is creative and open. It is encouraged that employees keep up to date with media, movies and trends. Also, the culture is very collaborative - every one is always willing to help one another out and it becomes more like a family after time.

Cons

Everyone follows the career path; there are limited opportunities to grow outside that set path. It seems that there is a time duration for each specific position before you are allowed for promotion. Also, I've rarely seen any opportunities for cross-over between departments.

Pros

At the time, unmatched creative depending on team. Plenty of kind folks, most of which I gather are no longer there. Opportunity to work on bigger briefs, straddle new accounts, etc. based on your level on ambition. Pave your own way.

Cons

Many. Frozen promo cycles even after being formally recommended. No merit increase after year one. CCO at the time ignored internal issues and instead continually offered up the proverbial Kool-Aid. Long hours, like getting teams messages/requests at 10pm for a morning deadline. Plenty of ego and pressure to go around (depending on your team).
