Benefit packages vary greatly depending on where you work and what you negotiate, but if you're a highly skilled or connected "deployed" person you can get very good vacation, pay, and insurance.
Cons
A down-trending industry means tight margins and few non-core perks. Be mindful of the sector you hire on to, and what contracts you will be supporting in the near and mid-range term.
