Pros
- Excellent project diversity, you can work on projects with a wide variety of technologies and disciplines if you choose (cloud, mobile, hardware, etc.) - Management is flexible and will not force you to work with technologies you aren't very familiar with if you ask not to be put on them - Brilliant team, you will have lots of opportunities to learn a lot from and work with some of the very smart people who work here - Generous personal development/training budget for those who want to take on new certifications or learn new skills - Flexibility in working hours - as long as you're available for the core hours, attend the required meetings, and continue delivering excellent work, you have a lot of flexibility when you decide to work, no one sits around micromanaging when you are and aren't online - Great PTO policy - Can work from home from any time zone in the US
Cons
- Projects can sometimes run a bit long, covering an entire month or more. Conversely, they can sometimes run a bit short, leaving you feeling like you didn't quite have enough time - Like any consulting work it can sometimes feel like you're in stuck a box and are doing the same sorts of work over and over again, you need to be active in bringing this up with management to avoid it - Some projects might have a learning curve at first before you can really begin to do useful work on them - Pay is good, but could absolutely be better
