Pros

Independent workloads allow you to readily measure your success. There are limited barriers to implementing new ideas if you are willing to champion them by yourself.

Cons

Upper management focuses on obtaining new companies in place of improving on infrastructure weaknesses. Outdated software and a lack of processes has lead to a focus on tribal knowledge. There is a trend of talented individuals coming into the company, championing and implementing new ideas, then leaving the company leaving artifacts of good ideas with no current support and no documentation.

Pros

Excellent Management Team. They recognize your strengths and work with you. As long as you are proactive you will be rewarded. Upper Management easy to talk to. Open door policy.

Cons

Employees rarely leave so it's a little hard to move up. Slow pay raise.
