The University provides you through its Department (Department Head), Dean and Office of the President the resources to excel at teaching. The university allows and trusts you with tailoring your own classes to how you want to teach.

Cons

Many of the institutional regulations and the navigation to promotion you have to figure out yourself. Also for those professors who are research focused, the University does not provide much time for that because of the 4,4 teaching load.

Tuition Benefit. After a year of working, you qualify for tuition benefit which allows you to get your master's degree for free. Great work/life balance.

Cons

Pension plan is failing. Cuts to staff.
