Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s great to see a 5-star review, especially alongside your note that work-life balance and team dynamics have been strong parts of your experience. Those two things matter a lot in Data Science roles, where the work depends on focus, collaboration, and room to solve complex problems well. You also touched on compensation and advancement, which are important parts of the employee experience. At LexisNexis, pay decisions are informed by external market data, role scope, performance, and business context, with the goal of keeping a structured and consistent approach across the business. Growth can also take different forms here, from expanded responsibilities and cross-functional work to mentoring, role-specific learning, and movement across teams or functions over time. Your work helps shape AI-powered tools and trusted insights used by professionals across law, business, and government. Thank you for what you’re contributing and for sharing both what’s working well and where the experience can keep improving.

Pros

Great people, solid products and market fit. Decent benefits and good vacation policy. Flexible work environment. Niche market and one of two main players in the industry. Overall, the people here are bought into the company’s mission and genuinely want to please our customers.

Cons

Can be extremely stressful to keep up with ambitious sales goals that typically go up each year regardless of whether they are met in prior years. Territories and goals are not always aligned giving some reps a much better chance of success than others. To be fair, it’s impossible to get this perfect, but the lack of effort to even attempt to solve this problem makes this a con.
