Good company to work for, but..... - UW Support Supervisor Liberty Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Offering 3 day WFH in 2020; Finally gave us MLK day as a paid holiday; Tuition Reimbursement;

Cons

No real advancement opportunities for supervisors. Senior leadership complains about expenses, but is constantly sponsoring "summits" and gatherings where all people do is drink and charge it to their corporate card. Sending Underwriting Assistant jobs offshore and calling it "Role Evolution". No loyalty to long time employees. There are too many project teams taking up valuable time meeting about changing workflow processes that don't need to be changed instead of focusing on figuring out why our system crashes after every system release. Lack of diversity in front line underwriting, and of course no one is checking.

Pros

Decent pay, way to start in insurance, decent training, nice facility with lots of parking.

Cons

Unbelievable workload that cannot be completed in an 8 hour period. However, it is expected to be done with no overtime allowed. Coworkers crying at their desk due to receiving a weeks worth of work in 1 day. Can crush all of your marks just to be met with well for this reason you only meets, so here is your 3%.
