Pros

Working at Liberty University has been a truly meaningful experience for me. Being in a Christian environment has had a tremendous impact on my life and my family. We found a church and a community that completely changed our lives. Beyond that, the university offers great benefits, generous time off—including a full week for Christmas—and a strong work-life balance that I truly value.

Cons

While I value many aspects of working here, there are some challenges worth noting. Compensation is not as competitive compared to similar roles in the local area or at other universities, even as a private institution. Additionally, some long-standing leadership does not always reflect the Christian values the university promotes. Although there has been a positive cultural shift since President Costin came in—which has been a blessing—there are still directors who lead with an outdated, fear-based approach that doesn’t align with Christ-like leadership or the vision of “if it’s Christian, it ought to be Christian.” This can limit growth opportunities for capable team members and make it difficult for newer, spiritually grounded leadership to emerge and create a more positive, faith-driven environment.

Pros

The most supportive management group I have ever been a part of. The people who work there are amazing. You are encouraged to support your customers with prayer. Time off is incredible from the start. A lot of control where time is concerned

Cons

Liberty University does not allow overtime.
