Pros

The people that I worked with were wonderful, as were the students. That was by far the best part of the experience The educational benefits would be great in some circumstances, but when you are working for peanuts, you can't use education benefits to feed your Children.

Cons

Liberty stacks its management with "true believers." I saw qualified candidates repeatedly denied promotions in favor of those that would not make waves. In my experience, leadership above first level supervisors would tolerate unthinkable levels of incompetence to keep the people they liked in positions of authority. Liberty drastically under-pays its employees, because there is a never ending supply of fresh college grads that need jobs and want to work for a Christian institution. They play the "ministry" card to guilt trip people into not asking to be paid industry standards for the work they do. After struggling to pay the bills for three years, I had no choice but to leave, and even now, I am not sure if I can fully recover financially from that time working for so little. By contrast, I walked into a blue-collar position with no experience where they paid me more than I made at liberty with a Bachelor's degree.

Pros

The most supportive management group I have ever been a part of. The people who work there are amazing. You are encouraged to support your customers with prayer. Time off is incredible from the start. A lot of control where time is concerned

Cons

Liberty University does not allow overtime.
