Pros

Work indoors, especially in winter, pleasant colleagues,

Cons

Operate a very lean workplace; no time to talk to colleagues leading to sterile working environment; and only time for a cursory hello to customers. Criticized by management for taking time to answer customer queries. 20 minute break after sitting/standing at a very busy till for 6 hours solid work is inadequate. Was sent home several times at 5h58mins to negate the need to give me an unpaid break. 5am start.

Cons

Growing pains of a European company modifying its business to grow its American footprint. Senior leadership was mostly European. Felt disconnected from American grocery culture.
