Pros
- health benefits - bonus (albeit not well structured) - some of middle management are understanding and try to promote good workers (but can't override opinions of managers above them who may not even know the worker in question)
Cons
- no professional growth unless you are a 'friend' of someone higher up (ie. you better kiss some serious butt) - experience and education is often ignored - salary not equitable - those who do most work get lower pay than slackers - bonus structure not equitable - based on subjective opinions of managers rather than actual measurable achievements - upper management really does NOT want employee feedback - watch out if you give it!! - management egos are HUGE! - lot of unprofessional behavior
