Pros
Good education, possibility of monthly bonuses, great coworkers who are very intelligent and nice, ongoing opportunity to work overtime,
Cons
It’s an incredibly stressful and oppressive environment being tethered to the phones while 40 plus hours per week. You only have an allotted amount of time for lunch, breaks, and bathroom time (yes, bathroom time counts against your break time). You are micromanaged by their workforce department literally every second of your day. They even have cameras on you. All of your calls are recorded and many of them are evaluated by the QA department. There are endless rules of of how to conduct the phone calls (over the top, ridiculous rules). They don’t set you up to be successful at your job, your more set up to possibly fail (your monthly bonuses are based on your call scores by QA). The QA scores are very subjective. The whole process can make you paranoid and full of anxiety. There are chronic callers every day who are VERY mentally unstable and don’t purchase a thing. They need to be banned from calling as they can threaten your QA scores. The hourly pay typically starts at only $18. That’s crazy for the expectations that are put on us! Everyone starts off working the night shift. It takes a very long time to get to the day shift (1 1/2 years or so).
