Pros
The main pro of this place is literally just the paycheck. Besides that, the coworkers become like your family. They're the only comedic relief and basically friend therapists that help you to get through the day at this job. A lot of camaraderie between the call center staff. They do provide benefits but the copays steadily go up and up. And if you have a family to also provide medical care for it becomes exorbitant. 401 k was good though. Training is amazing and you get great knowledge on supplements.
Cons
Where to begin... Firstly, they pay just enough to keep you there while simultaneously keeping you in a perpetual state of stress. Constantly calling your phone, even right after you finish a call (and are trying to document information), to basically tell you to hurry up and get on with the next one. This used to be a nice place to work but they've been slowly firing everyone in management that had a soul/ actually helped company morale, and everyone that's left has no compassion. What they call the "backbone" of the company (aka wellness specialists and CS reps) are considered "just another brick in the wall." Customers are allowed to get away with whatever (think political rants, inappropriate comments and MUCH worse) as long as they are purchasing items. Some of the customers are mentally ill and don't buy anything, yet somehow are still allowed to call. Even if you feel uncomfortable you're expected to stay on the call, and if not you can get into trouble by management. This place made significantly more money than normal during the pandemic and what did they do? Shorted staff on their bonuses AND delayed half of it for several months. Very telling of the real value they place on the employees here. If you have any sort of issue on/about the job, forget telling your supervisor, site manager or god forbid HR. At that point they'll target you as the problem and turn the tables real quick. And you will have no backing, as this is a private company (no union). Best advice is to stay at this job maybe for a year, year and a half tops and then get something better. The longer you stick around, the more you see how shady the place is.
