Pros

Life Time has an incredible mission and vision and many employees would bend over backwards to help make it happen. Despite what other reviews say, our investors have actually been great business partners, the company is growing faster than it ever has which opens up the door for career opportunities. Most decisions referenced were not driven by them. Free access to all clubs as of 2018 is very nice and employee discounts help (albeit recently reduced).

Cons

The company needs to pull the CEO out of all day to day operations so he can focus on being the visionary leader he is. Favoritism is rampant from the top down (but especially at the top), if investors knew how much money and time was spent on FOB's (Friends/Favorites Of Bahram) they would lose their minds. HR's hands are tied. If you know the right people or have enough dirt on someone, you can get away with anything. It is not uncommon for an employee to be terminated for severe infractions or breaking the law only to be re-hired soon thereafter with a promotion and raise. Benefits leave something to be desired. Healthcare premiums have increased by 250% over the last few years. PTO is pretty par for the course, but actually being able to take it is an entirely different problem. The small 401k match is discretionary each year.

Cons

They don’t pay anything, and the CEO should honestly be ashamed. If employees were paid properly, there wouldn’t be so much drama and tension in the workplace. Communication is terrible because management doesn’t even seem to care — probably because they’re getting crumbs too. Spa management was dreadful, and the demotion was necessary. How do you fail to have people booked during major holidays when the money and clientele are clearly there? There was no structure, no leadership, and no motivation for employees to succeed. Having a successful spa for 3 years and coming into this environment I was not impressed. No growth, no support, no appreciation. Loved the members tho! And S/O to Leemar, Virgil and Dr. Hayden love them down!
