Great place to work out; terrible place to work. - Member Engagement Advisor Life Time Employee Review

Pros

Upbeat atmosphere, positive energy, ability to interact with many people every day, members really do seem to care if you take the time to get to know them

Cons

Compensation sucks. Commision-based employees are asked to spend half their day doing hourly-employees jobs. Hourly employees make near minimum-wage. The benefit plans are pretty lackluster. Leadership is somewhat disturbing too... the executive levels seem to be run by bullish middle-eastern men who care little for employees. Regularly heard people get cursed out on national calls by the CEO. Also, say goodbye to work-life balance... 60+ hours/wk are the norm for commissioned employees.

Pros

Members are great and free membership is a perk. Coworkers are supportive.

Cons

You will be micromanaged to death, whether you have three weeks of experience or 20 years. Policies are vague. Communication with leadership is poor. You can be a strong, experienced performer and have very few classes, or brand new and get 8 a week. There appears to be no logic or strategy to anything that happens.
