Pros
The free membership is nice but when you get paid way more at other companies, you can afford to pay for the membership.
Cons
Life Time just decided to change the title of the Front Desk manager. This was their way of getting rid of anyone they didnt want anymore. Everyone had to reapply for their own jobs and many did not get to keep their jobs. It was a great way for them to hand pick 😉 who they wanted, where, in a huge housecleaning. People that have made their careers at LifeTime lost their jobs in a matter of weeks. It was suggested they seek out other jobs within the company but no one was helping them with their career path. They dismantled the Sales department, handed out pay cuts and demotions. Anyone staying to do sales now works for the new "Member Conceirge Manager" and is now earning a lower hourly wage, no commission, while standing at the front desk 40 hours a week, no office time. Sales people have left in droves. Again, a great way to clean house in a formerly, very well paid sales department. Change the title so they can cut the pay and now sales employees are basically a front desk employee who stands there waiting for someone to ask about getting a membership. Yes, the sales person is making more money per hour than the person they are standing next to all day that is just checking people in. So if you want to work at the front desk, you may as well apply for the sales role so you can make more money.
