Pros

As a group fitness instructor I enjoyed teaching many different classes. I met lots of people and have fun teaching. I was paid well for my classes and had great participants...a very social place. I also taught pilates with the equipment and enjoyed the people I got to work with.

Cons

The company as a whole does not appreciate the group fitness department. They are not revenue driven, so even though many people take the classes, they aren't paying extra for them like personal training. Many people go to Lifetime for the classes and the company should respect the opinions of the department. On the revenue driven side..PT and pilates/yoga...I was forced to attain a certain quota each month although I was a part time employee and didn't want to be full time. So my quota was so high that I couldn't do it without working more. I started there part time and was not expected to work full time until the 3rd Department head of PT got there. There is a lot of turn over with those in charge as well. Company too focused on sales and don't care about the members.

Pros

Members are great and free membership is a perk. Coworkers are supportive.

Cons

You will be micromanaged to death, whether you have three weeks of experience or 20 years. Policies are vague. Communication with leadership is poor. You can be a strong, experienced performer and have very few classes, or brand new and get 8 a week. There appears to be no logic or strategy to anything that happens.
