Pros

The only positive thing I can say about this company is that they offer a great gym membership and for Kids Academy specifically, they will allow you to bring your children.

Cons

Discounts for additional services are at a minimal, employees are required to work at least 15 hours per week with one weekend day per week (with shifts starting as early at 7:30am) and two Saturday nights per month if you work for Kids Academy. I've found that the ongoing theme here is that direct managers are very overworked resulting in burn out. Anybody that's worked in Human Services understands that burn out can get to a point where it's very toxic for not only the employees, but the people they are serving as well. In my brief experience working at Life Time, my direct manager was extremely rude and short fused to both employees and customers. I constantly felt like I was being watched and micromanaged with every little thing I did which impacted how I interacted with the kids. Even when it came to the 30-day company survey I had to do, I felt that my manager was over my shoulder and rushed me through it... which how convenient, the survey was about how I felt about my direct manager. Anyways, to add, it was common for my manager to disregard protocol when it came to ratios in staff to children and multiple company policies I learned about in orientation. Every single time I walked into work, I never knew what mood my manager was going to be in and their attitude alone in the short time I've worked there makes me not even want to return as a customer knowing my child will be under their care.
