If I could turn back time, I would have never even considered this place let alone wasted my time working there.
The position of "lifeguard" is everything but. You are a pool deck janitor with a whistle... and there's always something to do to "ensure members have a pleasant experience at our club!" Speaking of the members... not only are they entitled, crabby, and all-around unpleasant to staff even if you try to put in the work to get to know them, they will never ever recognize the work you put in to keep them happy... and yet won't waste a second in telling you something is not to their satisfaction. You will have the absolute life micromanaged out of you by "leaders," a title they hold, but are the farthest from that. My "leadership" was insufferable; they go insane for customer service but will very eagerly wipe the floor with you as their employee. For a corporation as big as LIFE TIME, I would have never expected my direct supervisors and managers to be so rude and abrasive. Seriously, invest in teaching these people some emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills before you promote them to be in charge of young adults.... or anybody for that matter! This job quite literally drains your soul and sucks the happiness out of you. I have had several part-time jobs during high school and college, and within my first month of employment, I knew this one would be at the top of that list.
Trust me - do not apply.
