Pros
LifeWorks has plenty of incredible programs available for the marginalized populations in our area. The people who work here are typically incredible individuals who care about contributing to their community and helping people change their lives for the better. There have also been plenty of training opportunities available.
Cons
It seems that once a person gets a job here it is almost impossible for them to get fired. Even if there is overwhelming reason and plenty of documented evidence to justify firing an individual, it rarely happens. You can show up to work drunk in a cab paid for by the company and still only be placed on an "action plan". I'm all for supporting the workers but not when it's at the cost of the work environment. Inept, inexperienced, and easily overwhelmed people populate full-time positions while those with experience, dedication, and passion for their work are lost as they find jobs elsewhere.
