Pros
I chose to work here again to serve my community and work close to home. I have a history with this hospital and appreciated seeing familiar faces.
Cons
Since LPS bought the hospital it has gone downhill fast. Many empty promises, poor leadership, poor administration, poor equipment and supplies needed to care for patients. They plaster “leapfrog status hospital, best of the best” on the front of the hospital and I can honestly say when I get out I will never go back. They have ruined our local hospital. I have experienced both the employee and family member side in a short period of time. LPS has admin walking around and presenting themselves all dressed to the nines with no concept of how to logistically make the hospital run and no real solutions. They just show up with lip service and do nothing to help the patients or staff. In my short amount of time here I have been appalled at the entire system. Saline memorial was once a great community hospital with smiling faces and a desire to provide the best care to our community. It is now a shell of that hospital I once knew and I’m truly embarrassed to work here. The general attitude of staff is discouraged, frustrated and angry. Yet they come to work anyway because being close to home and commitment to our community means something. Unfortunately due to empty promises and lack of support by upper management the morale is poor. I would never bring my family back to this hospital. It’s such a shame. LPS=con artistry at its finest.
