Pros
Salary and benefits were good. LP was a great place to work before it got too big to care about its employees and the small community hospitals it buys out. It was the best place I'd ever worked until they grew without an adequate infrastructire in place. Then things got crazy and people looked out for themselves only. I always received top raises and maximum bonuses each year I was employed, so eliminating my position unexpectedly was life changing. I am now underemployed in a small community and had to leave the field I'd been in for 20 years. That is what I mean by life changing.
Cons
You can be discarded after years of fantastic evaluations with no notice when it's about budgets and money. Lack of respect for others and everyone fends for themselves, especially some leaders.
