Pros

The company is a leader in its field. It’s rewarding to work for an organization that is always looking for better ways to care for people and deliver its services. The team is supportive and collaborative, leadership is approachable, and new ideas are welcomed. Employees are encouraged to grow professionally, and there is a strong sense of purpose in the work we do.

Cons

Because the company is still growing, it hasn’t reached the size needed to fully take advantage of cost savings that come with larger-scale operations.

Pros

The people are why I have stayed

Cons

It seems like upper management never knows the direction they are headed. I’ve been with the organization over 5 years and I have seen really amazing managers come and go. Sometimes it’s layoffs, other times it’s other concerns like productivity, etc. They term people in large clusters, which is always concerning however they say that “you are fine.” It is concerning to see that amount of turn over. I feel like management isn’t always placed on experience. Within senior living it’s disappointing seeing a lack of growth and development for leadership teams, which is why I think good leaders leave. I also think that the individual work loads are too high to be sustainable long term, which causes burn out.
