Pros

The only positive this job comes with is seeing progress with your clients.

Cons

LAC was by far and away the worst work experience that I have ever had in my life. The therapists at my location (Plymouth) would sometimes make jokes about clients, while the clients were present. I found it to be grossly unprofessional and simply mean. We got little to no lunchbreak, relying on a five minute window around noon where we could line up for the bathroom and/or heat up your lunch option. In addition to not really having any time for breaks or lunch, there was an incredible amount of nepotism that went on in terms of the BCBAs assigning “easy” or “fun” clients to their friends.

Pros

Most of the people who work there are really nice.

Cons

Sometimes working the entire 8 hour shift without a single break because of how understaffed the center was and when we were well staffed the only break you would get is 2 7 minute breaks. My BCBA was remote and most of the time was not helpful because, she had no understanding of the kids and what was happening in the center.
