Pros

The pay is good for this position. The kids are very sweet.

Cons

Extremely toxic work environment overseen by professional micromanagers. With very few exceptions, management seems to care more about beating down their staff than they do fostering a healthy and encouraging work place where techs can be empowered to help the children. It's common for staff to be pulled into the office, reprimanded and threatened with termination over the smallest of mistakes. Feedback is given in a condescending and demeaning way, leaving staff demoralized and crying. Certain managers are very unprofessional and openly mock and gossip about techs to other techs. There is no winning when it comes to bringing concerns to higher management, as they'll only believe what supervisors say. Overall, a very unhealthy and dehumanizing workplace. If you want to wake up everyday dreading going to work in a field you once loved, there really is not a better place.

Pros

Most of the people who work there are really nice.

Cons

Sometimes working the entire 8 hour shift without a single break because of how understaffed the center was and when we were well staffed the only break you would get is 2 7 minute breaks. My BCBA was remote and most of the time was not helpful because, she had no understanding of the kids and what was happening in the center.
