Pros
Historically, management has had a steady hand that allows for job stability. Lincare has never ever laid off employees. (Although, once Linde sale goes through, layoffs won't hurt stock prices anymore so they could be likely). Somewhat fair pay, employee costs for benefits are competitive or lower than most employers. They like to see you work late, but its not usually required nor rewarded, generally you can expect a 40hr week with little surprises or demands for OT.
Cons
Ultra conservative upper management is very hands off, they only focus on bottom line of the financials. This company is a money machine that runs lean, top sales people and upper management are only ones that reap benefit. Work environment varies from department to department. There is no plan, culture or upper management oversight for the work environment. Your job is as good or bad as your manager makes it. Depending on where you are working, you could be happy as could be or working in a miserable environment. Unless something draws attention to your manager, it's their show and they run it unchecked the way they see fit.
