Pros

I have a fair amount of autonomy as long as I do all of the required follow-ups and set-ups in a timely fashion, and patients don't complain about you, they leave you alone. The pay is decent for my particular job at my particular location. (although it varies greatly by location AND the pay of the person that held the same position before you) I like the freedom of driving around visiting the patients. Lincare is a financially stable company (as far as we know) It's super secret corporate management seems to turn in decent financial reports.

Cons

In most centers you are the only RT on call so that's 24/7 you could be called and may need to go see patient and you only get paid IF you go out. So you are on stand-by for free. Lincare upper management doesn't really care about the patients.... they only care about numbers. In fact the only time you get feed-back from corporate is if a patient complains OR if they turn in a "Negative Satisfaction Survey" No one really knows what happens to the "Positive satisfaction surveys" It's really funny the way they send out only the negative ones each month. Mileage reimbursement is no where near the federal rate.... so expect to beat your car to death and not be fairly compensated for it. I also was a center manager for 2 years and that job is rediculous. They treat there managers like crap.... unless you are always positive on oxygen set-ups.... then they just ignore you. Sales reps are treated pretty much the same with worse pay since Corporate always finds a reason not to pay a commission. I went back to being an RT which is a better position.
