Pros
I was able to experience lots of areas of engineering. I worked with many different bosses and different departments. The experience that I gained at Lincoln Electric Company definitely looked very good on my resume. I was able to get lots of other job opportunities once I graduated from college. The cafeteria actually had very decent food with a wide variety of options. I never participated in this, but the company has a very sizable profit sharing plan at year's end. Last year's bonuses were around 53% of their base salary. Might make up for the starting salaries being lower than other companies within the same industry.
Cons
The parking lot at the main facility of Lincoln Electric was very large. It was always a long walk from your car to the building. The environment in the coroporate center was pretty strict. Employees had to swipe in and out of the facility on a timeclock. You would not get paid for the extra minutes you came in early, but would also not receive any pay for the time extra you stayed afterwork. The hours were pretty flexible though. You were made to take a full hour lunch. You could not shorten it to a half an hour. I had some managers that were a little unpersonable.
