Challenging work environment, great and helpful people to work with and learn from. There is some stability as it is such a storied organization, but that may be in question with the Linde merger. Huge emphasis on safety.
Cons
Management has become a bit out of control and out of touch. Deadlines are unrealistic. If you aren’t a “chosen one”, you will never be rewarded. Some discipline manager in specific may hold too much power and get away with offensive and harassing behavior who works underneath the group manager whom doesn’t know what is going on outside of his door or spreadsheet. Benefits have slowly been deteriorated. Used to be a well-known and great place to work in western New York. Believe me and many others whom still work there, not anymore. If you find yourself here in project execution, get your experience, watch out for yourself and your family, and do not hesitate to take a better offer with another company, they are out there.
