Pros

•Good hourly rate at $13.50/hr •Flexible schedule •Work from home •Variety of tasks most of time •On occasion there are some small bonus opportunities for working extra hours •Good training resources •Mostly helpful staff •All communication is via email, which I like bit others may not.

Cons

•Before being hired you have to read and understand 200+ pages of Guidlines, they give you up to 7 days to study the Guidlines. You will then take a test to assess you understanding of what you just studied. The test is in two parts if I remember correctly and they give you 2 to 3 days to complete it. If you do not pass the test you will not be hired and you will not get a second chance so be sure to take your time! Of course this is all only if they first accept you application. •When you first start working as an Internet Assessor the majority of the first month is training and learning the Guidlines even further in depth for rating search results. You will not be paid for time spent on education. •Once you start working on actual tasks it is slow going and there is a lot of trial and error involved. You must keep track of the time you spent on each task and how many tasks you completed and will record this in a log at the end of each day. They will give you an alloted time for each individual task, this amount of time is the maximum you can report for that task. So if it takes you longer than the alloted time it does not matter or count. •If you mess up your time sheet by putting the incorrect amount of time or tasks you completed then it will not be approved and you will have to recalculate everything. Also if this happens your payment will be postponed until things are sorted out to their liking. •Your ratings have to be up to the standards that are set. You will get a performance evaluation once a month that is to help you improve your score. If you are preforming below the minimum 65% if believe you are put under review, thankfully this has not happened to me. •Now the unpredictability comes in to play. Getting a pay check each month from Lionbridge is one of the most stressful things. Their "normal" pay day is the 30th of each month, but they have what is called an Advanced Payment Program, with this program if you are preforming at a high level (80% or higher) they will pay you early on the 10th. The problem with this is you don't know how you are preforming until you get you evaluation for that month so it is hard to know very far in advance when your check will come in. But if you keep up on you education it is really not a big issue.

Cons

Rapid Changes: The company's dynamic nature means frequent shifts in priorities or objectives, which may be challenging for those who prefer stability. Resource Constraints: Occasionally, there might be limited resources which can impact the ability to execute projects efficiently. Communication Gaps: In a large organization, there can be occasional breakdowns in communication between departments, leading to misunderstandings or delays. Onboarding Process: The initial onboarding process might benefit from more structure or support to help new employees acclimate quickly.

Pros

It has been very cool seeing the company evolve with the new AI and LLM Technologies. Going from a complex language services company to an AI-first complete content and AI Data Services company has opened many new doors. Lionbridge also focuses on promoting internal candidates first, giving us all the chance to strive for openings internally to grow our careers. I've been promoted multiple times in my 5+ years. We're surrounded by very intelligent and good people, and it's interesting solving new-world problems together as a global team. We're constantly working with team members and customers from all over the world, and get the chance to learn about the various personal and business cultures of so many.

Cons

No real Cons. It's not an easy industry to be in these days with things changing at this rapid a pace, but we keep up well. Never a dull moment, and never a new challenge around each corner, but a great team to always work it out with.
