Pros

I just can't find anything.

Cons

Poor communication. It takes days for them to respond to an email you send. Now I am unsure if this has something to do with the project or with the company. This was my first project with them and definitely the last one too. I never got paid on time. I was working on a project where we were assigned daily tasks and I was told I will be paid as I complete those tasks. It took them a month to release my first pay. And it kept getting worse. I initially decided to take up this job since it was 100% flexible but then had to quit since they suddenly wanted to me to dedicate 4 hours based on a strict schedule. It took them more than a month and tons of emails (from my end) to release my payment. Like I mentioned, they don't respond unless you send about 4 emails. And when they finally did release my payment, I only got 25% of the amount I was supposed to get. I still haven't got it and I have been trying to reach the team since then. Till date, I haven't got a response from them at least explaining why I did not receive my entire pay. I have sent them at least 10 emails but no response what so ever. Most unprofessional team I have worked with.

Pros

Supportive Leadership: The management team is approachable and genuinely invested in employee success, providing guidance and mentorship to help you reach your full potential. Career Development: There are numerous opportunities for professional growth, including training programs, workshops, and access to industry conferences, ensuring you continually advance your skills. If your current position is not working out for you there may be opportunities to join a different team and expand your skill set. Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling options and remote work opportunities allow for a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. Recognition and Rewards: Employees are regularly acknowledged for their hard work and achievements, both through formal recognition programs and informal appreciation. Even if it is just a call out on a team meeting, it shows your hard work is not going unnoticed.

Cons

Rapid Changes: The company's dynamic nature means frequent shifts in priorities or objectives, which may be challenging for those who prefer stability. Resource Constraints: Occasionally, there might be limited resources which can impact the ability to execute projects efficiently. Communication Gaps: In a large organization, there can be occasional breakdowns in communication between departments, leading to misunderstandings or delays. Onboarding Process: The initial onboarding process might benefit from more structure or support to help new employees acclimate quickly.

Pros

It has been very cool seeing the company evolve with the new AI and LLM Technologies. Going from a complex language services company to an AI-first complete content and AI Data Services company has opened many new doors. Lionbridge also focuses on promoting internal candidates first, giving us all the chance to strive for openings internally to grow our careers. I've been promoted multiple times in my 5+ years. We're surrounded by very intelligent and good people, and it's interesting solving new-world problems together as a global team. We're constantly working with team members and customers from all over the world, and get the chance to learn about the various personal and business cultures of so many.

Cons

No real Cons. It's not an easy industry to be in these days with things changing at this rapid a pace, but we keep up well. Never a dull moment, and never a new challenge around each corner, but a great team to always work it out with.
