Pros
- Overall good group of people - Products are good - Generally everyone is quite smart and mentoring is good. - Benefits are good + kick in immediately - Everything is very customer focused to provide best service - Not the worst of the worst places - General manager of office cares about employee health and success
Cons
- No work life balance - expect to be there super early and leaving super late every day, to the point it adding up to almost an extra day of work every week. It is expected that you are in the office during specific hours, which most days adds up to 9.5-10 hours/day. It may not be explicitly stated, but you will learn over time that it is expected of uyou and if you dont follow suit you are look upon as not as much of a hard worker as your coworkers. Either way, your workload will be heavy so you will need those extra hours to finish things. - You will be doing the work of at least 2 people - everyone at this office is overworked and burnout is very common... but you will still be told you are not working hard enough and not prioritizing properly. There is no time to talk to coworkers to see how their weekend was or how their kids are doing... you have too much work to do. - Blatant favoritism for career advancements isnt unusual - No fun/social activities for employees - management has become so obsessed about saving every last penny that the only thing you can expect is a small in-house catered lunch buffet once or twice a year. That's it. Don't expect any fun activities outside of the office, ever. They do not care about your social wellbeing at work and do not understand that this would improve employee morale significantly. Employees are not treated to even at least one company funded dinner per year, making employees feel unappreciated. High turnover is slowly becoming a norm and employees complain to each other about no social activities put together by work.
