Pros

Great opportunity for entry level engineers to learn more about the medical device industry, and to learn more about FDA regulations and reporting.

Cons

The department was constantly understaffed, and employees were expected to take on very high volumes of work with very little support. Management would be confused as to why employees were working very long days, and believed that the workload was appropriate for a 40 hour week (which it was not - to remain in compliance and follow protocols employees workload was set more for a 60-80 hour week). When employees expressed need for support, management typically would just brush it off and tell the employees that their work style was not "efficient."

While it’s disappointing to hear you did not experience a satisfactory environment while at LivaNova, we appreciate your thoughtful feedback. We know that work can be busy at times, but we never want employees to feel that there is too much on their plate or feel burnt out. Although we appreciate the dedication and extra work put in, we recommend employees reach out to their manager or local HR team to discuss their workload. Thank you again for your insight; we will share it with the senior leadership team as we continue to improve the employee experience at LivaNova.

Pros

I think leadership puts a lot of thought into strategy, including the new human imperatives. They're having the right discussions and gathering employee insights. The culture is good and getting better from where i sit (but there is a lot of variability on experiences based on location culture) and I haven't met very many 'weak links' - people are smart and they work hard. Most people really, sincerely care about helping patients.

Cons

The size of the company means career pathing will just be limited. You really have to take control of your path and forge it- you can't wait for the organization to bubble up opportunities for you in a way that may be possible at larger organizations.
