      Pros

      The Italians. The Sorin part of the business was great. My job was great until they moved the department away from cardiopulmonary control to Neuromodulation control. It quickly went down hill.

      Cons

      Neuromodulation. Ever watch the old tv show Dallas? Well its true. Cut throat horrible people that only respects themselves. Stay away from the Neuromodulation business or having to report up through it.

      Pros

      I think leadership puts a lot of thought into strategy, including the new human imperatives. They're having the right discussions and gathering employee insights. The culture is good and getting better from where i sit (but there is a lot of variability on experiences based on location culture) and I haven't met very many 'weak links' - people are smart and they work hard. Most people really, sincerely care about helping patients.

      Cons

      The size of the company means career pathing will just be limited. You really have to take control of your path and forge it- you can't wait for the organization to bubble up opportunities for you in a way that may be possible at larger organizations.
