Pros

I come from an OC-based tech start-up with all the typical accouterments - free snacks, a mini-arcade, unlimited PTO and a generous work-from-home policy. So, having been "treated" to the company Koolaid, I proceeded with caution when I accepted my interview with Living Spaces. Not only was it a different industry, the web page held no such glamorous promises. No patio wi-fi? No Bagel Thursdays? It didn't help that there were very few corporate glassdoor reviews too. Upon starting, however, I realized that all those perks were just that. Perks. All these things don't make up for great coworkers, excellent work-life balance and thoughtful, strongly-aligned departmental charters. There's a clear sense of direction that starts from the top-down, emphasizing progress without the wasteful pomp and circumstance. The company is undergoing a period of transition now, re-evaluating and modernizing SOPs... So, it's a great time to start! Highly recommended!

Cons

Started as a mom and pop kind of business, some growing pains associated with that. Benefits are affordable for EE-only participants, but costly if you have a family.
