Pros

Meet cool people. Decent training programs. Decent products to sell.

Cons

Poor pay. They try to ameliorate this by offering cheap, usually gross and unhealthy free lunches on weekends. Protect bad managers. I've seen great managers leave and horrible managers protected by HR on multiple occasions. You don't get the sense that HR has your best interest in mind most of the time. No corporate or upper management accountability. Poor annual merit increases. I regularly received great reviews, yet wouldn't receive meaningful pay increases and I wasn't allowed to reward my highest performers in a meaningful way. Boring. They had us standing at the door hours at a time greeting each individual customer. The managers were required to do this. Huge waste of time and makes it difficult to monitor your business. I could go on, but this company probably isn't much worse than most retail environments. It may even be better. Most of your happiness in a retail environment will depend upon the quality of your direct manager. LS has some good managers, but too many stores have unfit general or assistant managers that make life difficult for regular employees and other managers. You can only tolerate so much.
