Pros
-- No one is responsible for anything. It is all about how good you are in passing the buck. -- If you can open a can, you will be proclaimed a genius. If you talk about heuristics for operations optimization, you are sure to get a bad review coz your manager doesnt understand what you say and it is your fault. --No need to worry about doing a good job - the more you slack and circumvent work, the better you fit with the company culture.
Cons
A place that wreaks of bureaucracy . Not that bureaucracy is bad, but when bureaucrats are idiots well it is another story. Directors who escalate because they don't know how to unhide cells in excel, strategists who cannot understand basic common sensical nuances, you name it and you will find it in Loblaw. Not sure how this business is up and alive, coz when you see the stupidity under the hood , it is scary. Will take minutes for companies like amazon to squish them out . If you are a self respecting person with an iota of intelligence, don't join Loblaw.
