Inequity and Inefficiency Is Rampant - Senior Program Officer Local Initiatives Support Corporation Employee Review

LISC has no clear vision or strategy and a paternalistic, top-down approach to working in communities. There are rampant microaggressions at all levels of sexism, racism, and exploitation of BIPOC employees who are underpaid with few pathways for advancement. Many senior or middle managers are long-standing white men and women who keep hold of their antiquated fiefdoms. Lots of silos, internal politics, and a culture with no joy. There is now momentum to support social justice / DEI ....which definitely didn't exist at LISC before this "moment." But now that companies are throwing money at it I guess we care.
