Pros
The majority of the individual contributors (field consultants) are a great bunch to work with. Super intelligent, motivated, social, helpful.
Cons
Too many chiefs, too few warriors: Manager versus IC ratio = 40/60. Micro-management by incompetentn, non-caring managers who are driven by financial greed, not best interest of client. Frequently put consultants in cross fire for doing the right thing for client versus being blindly obedient toward ignorant management. Many pre-sales opportunities (referrals) fell through for lack of follow-through. Consultants get punished for doing the right thing for client. Management is more busy with their own self-importance. Employees are held accountable to retro-actively changing objectives at review time. Employees are not rewarded for doing great client work. Projects are grossly mis-managed, if managed at all. Even though called "consultants", work is actually hourly body-shop work, hourly rate is all that seems to matter.
