Pros
Long View has people with great personalities, with fun culture, provides training and mentoring. It's only IT services company I know of that offers Permanent position in Calgary. The senior management team is one to the best I've experieced in my 15 years of IT.
Cons
They don't recognize experience and pay for experieced IT people is in middle lower end in an Oil and Gas town. Advancement is slow if you become too valuable to a specific client. I've been stuck as Senior at client site for several years training all the new hire until they are of level 2 quality. then pushing these individual to other client sites. They make too many promises of advancement when there is a oversupply of middle management. They're mid-management is on the weaker side especially compared to senior management. If you have a very specialize skill (app support or programer) set forget about this company.
