Christian organization Excellent cause Organization is well-known and has we existed for over 75 years Location is in the heart of Downtown LA

Cons

Trouble holding on to quality talent, but horrible staff members are tolerated and even promoted Favoritism Non-profits don't pay as much as for-profits

A place to work with purpose and vision. Gives you a good experience and background. Room for growth and opportunity.

Cons

It can be intense and non-stop at times. Parking system fluctuates and you have to park off site sometimes or most times.

Pros

This program which has been in operation for over 75 years, provides an invaluable service to those seeking a way out of homelessness and alcohol/drug addiction. The corps of compassionate staff, chaplains, and supervisors provide a way for individuals to redeem their self-esteem and establish new vocational skills and experience. If you are interested in working in social services, I would highly recommend the LAM.

Cons

Pay rates may not be as competitive as other industries, but the reward of being of service to those in need outweighs this.
